Winter Concerts: Our Winter Concerts for Kindergarten and Primary classes are scheduled for this coming week and the next week.Please bring your child to their classroom at 6:15 pm.The concerts start in the gym at 6:30 pm.

December 4 is concert night for Grades 1, 2 and 2/3. December 10 is the concert night for Ms. Cairns, Ms. Silot, Ms. Pelletier and Ms. Matheson-Young. December 11 is the concert night for Ms. Gallippi, Ms. Rotmensz, and Ms. Jube.

School Council Meet and Greet: Come and meet members of your School Council in the Great Hall at all 3 Winter Concerts! They will be on hand to answer questions and take suggestions on how they can support you and your children. Help our fundraising by buying delicious home-baked goods ($1/each), Eglinton Eagles Toques ($10) and Candy Grams ($1/each)! Visa/Debit is available for $10 and over - please bring cash for smaller items.

Primary Pitch Perfect Choir (Grades 2-3): We will be performing on Wednesday, December 4th at 6:30 p.m. Please drop your child off in the library at 6:15. Grade 2 and 2/3 students who are performing with their classes later in the concert will go to their classrooms after the choir performance. Grade 3 students can be picked up in the library following the choir performance.

Please have your child wear a red shirt and black pants or skirt as the uniform for the choir performance. Students will have time to change into other costumes for their grade 2 and 2/3 classroom presentations after the choir performance.-from Ms. Monson and Ms. Doherty

Fresh from the Farm: The Fresh from the Farm orders will be delivered to the school on December 4th in the afternoon. If you have placed an order, please pick it up at the end of the day (in the Great Hall area or just outside the office) as the product can’t be stored in the school overnight. We thank you for your contribution towards this initiative in raising funds for the school.

SK French Immersion Reminder: The application process for Early French Immersion (SK Entry) is now open. The deadline to apply to Early French Immersion is December 6, 2019. There is no guarantee of placement for applications received after the deadline.

Early of Extended Absences for December or January: The Winter Break will soon be here. The last day of classes is Friday, December 20, 2019, and school starts again on Monday, January 6, 2020.

If your child will be leaving school before December 20 or will be returning later than January 6, please email the office so we are aware of the extended absence. (Otherwise the attendance system will make calls until it reaches you.) Please send an email to Cathie.Cordner@tdsb.on.ca and Vasiliki.Gioris@tdsb.on.ca , with a copy to Ian.Wilson@tdsb.on.ca and Elizabeth.Aiello@tdsb.on.ca so that we are aware of the absence.

Crosstown LRT Project Update: Crosslinx will be performing work on Monday, December 2 that will require lanes on Eglinton Avenue to be shut down.Please read the Crosstown LRT Update for November 29, 2019 for more information.

OSSTF (Grade 9 to 12) Labour Negotiations: The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) has announced that, should a tentative agreement not be reached, its members (teachers and education workers) will conduct a one-day walkout on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. ETFO (Kindergarten to Grade 8) Labour Negotiations: The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) announced that phase 1 work-to-rule strike action will begin on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Read the most recent TDSB update about ETFO’s strike actions (Nov. 20, 2019).

Junior Extended French Program Application Deadline: The application process for the Junior Extended French Grade 4 Entry program will open January 6, 2020 and close January 31, 2020. Please visit www.tdsb.on.ca/french.
