Elmbank JMA - Daily Schedule

Entry time is 
at 8:30 am.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Classes begin at 8:35 am.

Morning Recess is from 9:45 am to 10:00 am.

Lunch is from 11:20 am to 12:10 pm.   

Afternoon Recess is from 1:30 pm to 1:45 pm

Dismissal time: 2:55 pm.



 

Supervision Information 

Supervision of all children begins 15 minutes before school start time, 8:20 am - 8:35 am.

Students will be supervised at the end of the day until they are all picked up. 

Please note:  There is no supervision for the playscape/playground area after school.  The playscape/playground is closed after school.   Students waiting to be picked up must remain with the adults on duty. 

Parents/Guardians, babysitters are asked to pick up Grade 1-8 students on time outside at the appropriate exits.  Kindergarten  - Grade 2/3 use Exit 5/6.  Grades 3/4 to Grade 8 use Exit 3.


Safe Arrival, Late Arrival


Call 416-394-7560 x20000  if your child is going to be late or absent; children who do not stop to pick up a late slip at the Office may be marked absent; so, please encourage them always to get a late slip.

Note that phones automatically switch to night service from 3:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. so that only messages may be left; no one is available to answer the phones. School Office opens at 8:00 and closes at 4:00pm..

At the end of the school day it is important to pick up your children outside their exit doors. Students cannot wait in the school as there is no supervision. Siblings pick up their younger brothers and sisters outside by the exit that the younger ones use.  Kindergarten - Grade 2/3 use Exits 5 and 6; Grades 3/4 to Grade 8 use Exit 3. 

Students do not enter or exit via the front doors or Exit 2 doors at the parking lot (this is a dangerous and busy area without supervision). All students exit out their designated exit to be picked up by parents/guardians/ babysitters/brothers and sisters.



Student Nutrition


All students receive a healthy snack they can eat and enjoy each morning.  The nutrition program will begin the third week in September.

families of every student are asked to contribute a modest fee to the nutrition program each school year.
