School Closure - Thrusday, March 30 - Watermain Emergency Repair

Wednesday, March 29, 2023 06:25 PM

School and board facility staff were notified by the City of Toronto that emergency water main work is required to take place all day Thursday March 30th. As a result, our school will have no access to water and will need to be closed for the day.

To ensure student and staff safety, all classes at Forest Hill CI will move to asynchronous remote learning for the morning. Teachers will provide work for students via their online learning platforms.

Parent-Guardian-Teacher interviews scheduled for the afternoon will take place via phone calls. Teachers will contact parents/guardians at their scheduled interview time by phone using the number provided by the parent/guardian who booked the interview.  If a number was not provided at the time of booking, teachers will use the phone number of the parent/guardian who booked the appointment and that is currently on file at Forest Hill.

Given that teachers will be working off-site, they will be calling from cellular devices where the number will appear as Private, Unknown or No Caller ID.  Please refer to your schedule and answer the calls at or around the times indicated on your schedule.

We are hoping to connect with you tomorrow; however, if you wish to cancel your interview with a teacher, please follow these instructions:

  • Visit the Forest Hill scheduling website at https://parentinterview.com/s/fhci
  • Enter your child's 9-digit student number and click "Sign In"
  • Click on "Delete" beside the meeting you wish to have removed from your schedule.
  • If you experience any difficulty using the service, please email support@parentinterview.com.

We expect a return to normal on Friday, March 31st, and will provide families with any applicable updates tomorrow.

We appreciate the patience, understanding and adaptability of students, staff and families. Should you have any additional questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Yvette Duffy

Principal
