Welcome to Knitting Club! As the largest club at Mac, we are grateful for our membership of over one hundred students who are dedicated to knitting and stitching blankets for the homeless!

Over the past three years, we have completed more than 30 full-size blankets, baby blankets, scarves, and hats to be donated to Toronto’s shelters for the homeless and to other members in our community who are in need. Through Knitting Club, Blackscots have the opportunity to learn a new skill, earn volunteer hours, and make an impact on the lives of countless others within our community.

If you don't know how to knit or don't have the supplies, don't worry! We provide resources such as in-person and video tutorials to help you learn. In addition, we lend members knitting-needles and yarn for the school year. Knitting Club operates year-round and is always open to inviting new, enthusiastic members to contribute to our efforts; so, please don’t hesitate to join!
