Lillian is a PLATINUM ECO-SCHOOL!

Congratulations to all of our staff, students and community for their efforts.

Now it is time to move forward with our amazing initiatives.

Keep the Platinum Eco-Schools initiatives going...!

Lillian Public School has been a proud supporter of the Eco-Schools initiative for a number of years. We are one of hundreds of schools in TDSB which were certified bronze, silver, gold, or platinum this last year. We achieved PLATINUM and are up for the challenge of maintaining our status, and beyond!

At Lillian, we are all champions, and we need YOUR help. During the year, we will be communicating with you about ways to assist us. Here are a few things you can do at home and at school:

• Pack your child a LITTERLESS LUNCH - use containers and avoid wrappings and pre-packaged foods.
• BOOMERANG it! That means that what goes to school (and is not eaten) comes back, including wrappers, and other non-recyclable products. Have your child bring home their packaging so that we can reduce the garbage going into our bins. 
• Walk to school with your child(ren) whenever possible to encourage exercise and reduce our daily carbon footprint.
• If your company or organization would be interested in working with us to support our initiatives, please contact our Eco-Team through our school office.
• Get involved with our Eco-Schools initiatives throughout the year(s)...

We continue to look for ways to advance our initiatives and ensure that our children and staff sustain an environment the strives on our ecology efforts for our planet.
