SAFE ARRIVALS
416-395-2662
The Safe Arrivals program ensures that we are aware of the whereabouts of all of our students on school days. It is a safety program that helps to protect or children.
- This line accepts messages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Please call if your child will be away. This means that we will not be calling you to find out why your child is absent.
- Please update us daily if your child is still ill by leaving a message.
- If you are going to be away for a short vacation, please let the office and the teacher know with a note indicating the length of absence. If you child is out for more than 15 school days, upon your return, you will need to re-register (with proof of address) and your child may not be in the same class as prior to the absence.
Bus and Traffic Safety at Lillian
Please be respectful, patient and courteous to the people walking and the homeowners in our immediate community. Always follow the laws that govern our streets (i.e. parking and stopping).
Remember:
- Park on the side streets north and south of Lillian Street. Short term parking only is available on Lillian Street. Walk your child across the street towards the large bus loop and enter through that gate. Do not enter through the parking lot, it is very dangerous for foot traffic.
- NO stopping or parking in bus loop because it is a “bus loading zone” and disrupts the buses;
- NO stopping or parking at the front of the school in “bus loading zone”. It makes it difficult for our buses to pick-up and drop-off students, as well as being against the law.
- NO bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc. can be used in the school yard. Please dismount and walk with your equipment.
- NO parking – NO drop-off – NO pick-up from the school parking lot. It is a staff parking lot, with minimal space, and our staff is growing once again.
- NO WALKING through the parking lot - it is very dangerous and we have had a number of "near misses".
Thank you for helping to keep our community of children and adults safe. Always think safety!
