Earth Hour

Why Do We Celebrate Earth Hour???

On March 23, from 2—3 pm, Pelmo Park celebrated Earth Hour. The goal of Earth Hour is to unite people around the world to raise awareness about climate change and commit to actions that will help protect our planet! Earth Hour is the world’s largest movement for action on climate change.

Here are some tips on how you can help:

  • Go home and turn off all electronics for at least one hour, read a book or play a game
  • Turn off all lights, and go outside to get some exercise and fresh air

Litterless Lunch

Litterless Lunch, Pelmo helps the environment!

This year the ECOTeam is helping the school to learn to reduce litter. We organized a waste free lunch, on January 29th, 2018. We encouraged students to bring their lunch in a reusable container and to bring a reusable water bottle, instead of drinking juice boxes. We are doing this because we want to help the environment, by reducing the amount of garbage we make. Together we can make a difference!
