Clubs and Teams

Eco Club

The Waterfront School has achieved the Platinum ECO Schools award and is proud of our ongoing initiatives including, litterless, lunches, our Proud Waterfront Student Water Bottle, donations of clothing and stewardship of our school and community. Our staff work hard with the students in the Eco Club to make The Waterfront School environmentally friendly and socially aware. Students  bring a Litterless lunch to school everyday in re-usable containers. Recycling, reusing paper, turning off lights when not in use, are all part of our daily routines. Morning announcements remind us all of the part we play in the environment and our world around us.

Cross-Country Team

The Cross-Country running team is open to all students in grades 1-8.  Students begin training in September and compete against students from other schools across the Toronto District School Board. This is a great opportunity for our  Waterfront students to increase their athletic skills and to keep healthy. Great running!

STEM/Robotics Club

Our School Council arranged for our partnership vendors to offer additional opportunities to students to learn about STEM and Robotics. A great enrichment activity for our students.

Basketball

Our students love playing basketball and we have lots of opportunities for that in our school yard. We are also big fans of the Raptors!

Chess Club

Waterfront students love to play chess. These lunch time sessions were arranged by our School Council in partnership with TDSB vendors. A great learning opportunity for our students.

Book Clubs

Our Waterfront students are active participants in reading the latest recommended books and voting on their favourite authors through the Blue Spruce, Red Maple and Silver Birch reading programs.
