Bowmore Cares Fund
At Bowmore, we believe that all students should be able to participate in school events and activities without financial barriers. The Bowmore Cares Fund is a community-supported fund, managed by the school, that assists families within our Bowmore community who may need extra support to participate in school programs and events, including spiritwear.
For more information on accessing or contributing to the Bowmore Cares program, please contact Vice Principal Kosta Flegas at Konstantinos.Flegas@tdsb.on.ca.
Bowmore Nutrition
Dear Bowmore Families,
We hope this message finds you well. As we navigate through another school year, we find ourselves in a position where we must humbly ask for your help!
The student nutrition program benefits from government grants; however, these funds only partially cover our operating costs. We rely on the generosity of our community to bridge the gap. While contributions are entirely voluntary, any donation you can make is invaluable in sustaining this essential service.
Here’s a snapshot of the program’s impact and needs:
- We operate a snack program for 174 days annually, serving 1025 students.
- Daily operating costs range between $820 and $1050.
- The annual budget is approximately $174,000, with government grants covering $80,000.
- This leaves a shortfall of $94,000 for the school year.
In the past, we've been fortunate to have a surplus, largely due to additional funding during COVID-19 closures. However, these reserves are depleting, and we find ourselves in need of your generosity more than ever.
Contributions can be made through School Cash Online or via the Toronto Foundation For Student Success (TFSS) at the following link, where you will receive an official tax receipt. We also encourage you to share the TFSS link with extended family and friends who might be willing to support our program.
Your support means the world to us and to the students who benefit from the program. Thank you for considering this request and for being a valued part of the Bowmore community.
