Three days a week, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Nutrition Program serves participating students a delicious, healthy snack that consists of:
- one antioxidant (e.g., fruit or vegetable)
- 25-30 grams of whole grains (with the first ingredient always being whole grain or whole wheat and having less than 8 grams of sugar and less than 140 grams of sodium)
- one serving of dairy (e.g, yogurt, milk, or cheese)
