Dear Bowmore Families,
This week our teachers gave out term one report cards and offered interviews to parents. It was wonderful to see our families in our school. We wish everyone a wonderful Family Day weekend. Last week our Senior Boys basketball team A played at D.A Morrison Senior School and advanced to the quarterfinals this upcoming week against Earl Grey - we wish Mr. Rea and the team best of luck. Our two Senior Girls Volleyball teams made it to the quarterfinals and completed their season this week. Both teams showed resilience, volleyball skills and teamwork. They made a good effort and worked together exhibiting great comradery. Congrats to the Senior Girls, Coach Comendador and Coach Cabaluna on a great season! This week our kindergarten students honoured the Lunar New Year and paraded through our hallways showcasing their dragon. Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most celebrated and longest of all Asian festivals and is observed by millions of people worldwide. Many other countries in East Asia, including Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, hold their own New Year celebrations at this time.
Finally our Grade 8 graduates will have their grad portraits completed during the day on Tuesday Feb. 20, 2024 with our photographer. A grad gown will be provided for the photo, and students are requested to wear a white shirt under the gown. Retakes will be available on March 21, 2024.
