Hello Bowmore!
Days of Significance: On October 4, Sisters in Spirit Day honours missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, and shows support for their loved ones.
Every year, World Teachers' Day falls on October 5th, making it a global event. In 2024, it will take place on a Saturday. This day gives students, parents, and communities the chance to come together and celebrate everything teachers do for education.
Students, let's take a moment to express our appreciation for Bowmore’s amazing teachers. Their dedication, passion, and hard work in shaping the minds and hearts of our students do not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do, and Happy Teacher's Day!
Ms. Jarvis - Needle Felters: Any interested Grade 7 and 8 students who would like to learn how to needle felt can come to the library at lunch today. Eat your lunch first then join us in the library.
Terry Fox Committee - Keep those toonies rolling in. Teachers don’t forget their is a virtual Terry Fox assembly today at 1:00. Hope you can tune in.
Boys Soccer - Mr Lall and Mr Rea: Thank you to all the supporters who came out to watch Bowmore’s Sr Boys soccer team play a friendly game against Earl Grey. Thanks to the officials, Andrew, Ronin and Mr Rea.
There is a Jr AND Sr team practice this afternoon at 3:30pm.
Borden Ball - Mr. Seater & Ms. Hollywood: Congrats to the Grade 8 girls Borden Ball team for a strong 3rd place finish and the Grade 7s for moving on to the Conference Finals! There will be a quick Grade 7 meeting in Room 1 at morning recess today.
