Days of Significance: All Saints Day is a Christian solemnity celebrated in honour of all the saints of the Church.
Bandi Chhor Divas is a Sikh celebration commemorating the day the sixth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Hargobind and 52 Hindu kings were released from Gwalior Fort, who had been imprisoned by Mughal Emperor Jahangir. Emperor Jahangir had held 52 Kings at the Gwalior Fort for several months.
Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, with variations celebrated in other Indian religions. It symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance".
Samhain (Pronounced saw-win) is a Gaelic festival on 1 November marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or "darker half" of the year. It is also the Irish language name for November. Celebrations begin on the evening of 31 October, since the Celtic day began and ended at sunset.
Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, is a holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2, though other days, such as October 31 or November 6, may be included depending on the locality. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and remember friends and family members who have died.
Over the weekend, the Birth of Bahá'u'lláh is a Holy Day celebrating the rebirth of the world through the love of God. `Abdu'l-Bahá, the son of Bahá'u'lláh, stated that during this holy day the community should rejoice together to increase the unity of the community.
