Mr. Seater - Only 5 days until the Bowmore Unity toy drive! Did you know there will be hot chocolate and cookies at the toy drive? That’s right! Just bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Bowmore pavement between 11am and 1 pm on Saturday. Come early before they’re gone!

We are looking for things like clean candy wrappers, bottle caps, bits of fabric, paper, felt, yarn etc. Teachers please gather and send to Mme Brewster, Mme Simpson, or Ms Reid.Thank you.

Ms. Jarvis - Overdue books: Please remember to return all of your overdue library books. Late slips will be delivered this afternoon. We have 745 books overdue. Check lockers, desks, backpacks and please return them asap!

Reminder that Grade 6-8 are welcome in the library after you eat your lunch to work on Milk Bag Mattresses.

Days of Significance: In Canada, November 11 is officially called Remembrance Day, but it is also known as Armistice Day and Poppy Day. Remembrance Day commemorates the sacrifices of people in all armed conflicts. Red poppies symbolise the memory of those who passed and white poppies campaigns for non-military interventions in conflict situations. On November 11, special services are organized which include the playing of "The Last Post" and two minutes of silence at 11:00 (or 11am). After the service, wreaths are laid at local war memorials.
Please remember when you go to the assemblies today, you must enter the gym in a quiet and serious manner to demonstrate our respect for this important day. Please send all poppy money to the office by the end of the day. Thank you to all staff and students who helped to put our two Remembrance Day assemblies together.

Have a wonderful day of learning!
