Days of Significance: On this National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada, we take time to honour those who have lost their lives to gender-based violence. We also recommit ourselves to taking action to ensure that women and girls can live lives free from violence.  
Celebrated annually on December 8, Bodhi Day (pronounced Bow-dee) commemorates the day that the historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, experienced enlightenment, which is also known as bodhi in Sanskrit and Pali.

Mr. Rea - Senior Boys Basketball: The Second Senior Boys Basketball Tryout is today after school. Please arrive with running or basketball shoes and your EMA form complete

Mr. Comendador - Grade ⅞ Girls volleyball: To all interested girls who would like to try out for the Grade 7/8 girls Volleyball team, please sign up on the sheets posted on the wall across from his room (Rm 106). Don’t forget to get your parents to sign you up on EMA as well. 1st Tryout is Wednesday December 11. EMA forms MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOU TRYOUT!!

Ms. Obokata and Ms. Davis - Junior Boys Basketball Sign up: Boys in grades 5 or 6 who would like to try out junior basketball l team, please sign up on the sheets posted on the wall outside the Senior gym. Don’t forget to get your parents to sign you up on EMA as well. 1st Tryout is Monday Dec. 9th. EMA forms MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOU TRYOUT!!

Ms. Jarvis - Needle felting: Needle felting in the library for Grade ⅞ students at lunch today. Please eat your lunch first. 

Mr. Cabaluna - Ice Hockey: Thank you to those who tried out for the Ice Hockey team. The team list will be posted at lunch outside room 104. Please make sure you check the list.
