Days of Significance: Human Rights Day is observed annually around the world on 10 December. It commemorates the anniversary of one of the world's most groundbreaking global pledges: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on December 10, 1948, and sets out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected. 

Mr. Comendador - Grade 7/8 Girls volleyball: To all interested girls who would like to try out for the Grade 7/8 girls Volleyball team, please sign up on the sheets posted on the wall across from his room (Rm 106). Don’t forget to get your parents to sign you up on EMA as well. 1st Tryout is on Wednesday, December 11. EMA forms MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOU TRY OUT!!

Mme. Buchanan, Ms. Rahbek, Mme. Riddle - Primary Chess Club: Primary Chess Club meets today instead of Wednesday for students in Session A. Please eat your lunch in the lunchroom and then come to Room 8 at 12:15. 

Ms. Jarvis and Ms. Reid - Silver Birch Book Club: Silver Birch Book Club starts today for Grade 4-6 students. Please eat your lunch and then come to the library to hear all about our new Forest of Reading club.
