Hello Bowmore!

Office - Over the break, we will be celebrating many holidays.

Days of Significance: Yule is a winter festival historically observed by the Germanic peoples that was incorporated into Christmas on December 21st.

Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among many communities around the world.

Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated after Christmas Day, occurring on December 26th. Boxing Day was once a day to donate gifts to those in need, but it has evolved to become a part of Christmas festivities, with many people choosing to shop for deals on Boxing Day.

Kwanzaa is an annual celebration of African-American culture from December 26 to January 1, culminating in a communal feast called Karamu, usually on the sixth day. It was created by activist Maulana Karenga, based on African harvest festival traditions from various parts of West, East, as well as Southeast Africa.

Hanukkah is a Jewish festival commemorating the recovery of Jerusalem and subsequent rededication of the Second Temple at the beginning of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century BCE.

Office - Today is our last day together. Wishing you and your families a restful and happy holiday.  We will be back at school on Monday, Jan 6th, 2025.
