Hello Bowmore!
Days of Significance: Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a consciousness-raising awareness day focusing on digital access and inclusion for the more than one billion people alive today who live with disabilities or impairments.
The International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia is observed on 17 May and aims to coordinate international events that raise awareness of LGBT rights violations and stimulate interest in LGBT rights work worldwide.
On Monday May 19th there is no school as it is Victoria Day. It is a federal Canadian public holiday observed on the last Monday preceding May 25 to honour Queen Victoria. The holiday has existed in Canada since at least 1845, originally on Victoria's natural birthday, May 24.
Office - This is our Caring and Safe Schools message for the day. Please use water responsibly. No squirting or wasting water—it helps keep our school clean and safe for everyone. Also, a very important reminder about Device Safety. Please remember that computers and cell phones can pose serious safety risks if not used properly. Opening them up, inserting objects into the ports, or using them in inappropriate ways can cause damage and even lead to a fire hazard. Using devices in unsafe ways is not allowed.
Art Club - Please meet in room 204 for a special goodbye party!
Ms. Jarvis - Library: To prepare for the long weekend, please do a locker and desk clean out and bring any library books to the library. It is important to start returning all books as we prepare for the end of the school year. Thank you!
Mr. Cabaluna and Ms. Dimitropoulos would like to give a big shoutout to our Grade 7 Frisbee Team for their effort and teamwork at yesterday’s tournament. They played with heart, spirit, and great sportsmanship throughout the day. We’re proud of the way you represented our school!
Good Morning Bowmore. The Jump Rope for Heart kick off assembly is today. Please bring all grade 1-3 classes to the senior gym at 9:45 and grade 4-6 classes at 10:45.

Have a wonderful day of learning!
