The SickKids Team has announced that they will operate 12 Holiday Hubs during the winter break. To ensure you have access to PCR testing over the holiday break, SickKids COVID-19 saliva PCR test kits will be available for pick up and drop off at all 12 Holiday Hubs.

What If My Child Develops COVID-19 Symptoms During the Winter Break?

In accordance with Toronto Public Health guidelines, your child must self-isolate and will require a negative Lab-Based Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 Test before returning to school (not a Rapid Antigen Test) or complete 10 days of self-isolation and be symptom-free before returning to school. 

We are part of the SickKids COVID-19 Salvia Testing program so you can pick up and drop off the At-Home PCR Saliva COVID-19 test from one of the SickKids Holiday Hubs near you.

Here are the steps:

1. Pick up the PCR test from one of the Holiday Hub locations listed below.
2. Complete the test at home.
3. Drop it off at one of the Holiday Hub locations listed below.
4. In 24 to 48 hours access your child’s results or hear directly from SickKids/TPH (Positive results, only)
