In the regular program, students will learn: English, French, History, Geography, Art, Music, Family Studies, Math, Science and Technology, Drama, Dance, Health and Physical Education. 

J.B. Tyrrell is an amazing place to learn French! At Tyrrell, we have a special program called the Extended French program which is an excellent program to increase your vocabulary, speaking skills, and writing skills in French. In this program French, History, Geography, Physical Education and Drama are taught in French. One of the great things about the Extended French program at JB Tyrrell is how fun and enjoyable the classes are. We do some really interesting activities to help us understand what we are learning. Being in our Extended French Program will make L’Amoreaux C.I. your home high school for the Extended French program, should you continue in Extended French after grade 8. Overall, the Extended French program is an amazing program that will help increase your fluency in French. 

Gifted education is a broad group of special practices, procedures, and theories used in the education of children who have been identified as gifted. At JB Tyrrell we have 4 gifted classes (2 for each grade) who follow the regular Ontario curriculum, but are more challenged in language and mathematics. You can only join our gifted program if you have been tested and certified as a gifted student. Our gifted feeder school is Fairglen Jr. P.S.
