NOVEMBER BULLETIN

November 1, 2024

What an incredible October! Summer weather (mostly), a second wonderfully attended School Council meeting, Parent/Guardian-Teacher Interviews and of course another month full of amazing events and games. Kicking the month off was our annual Red & Black Day and what a day it was! A huge part of what makes our school community so special is the larger community that is always here to cheer us on and we’d like to express our appreciation for your time, energy and support for our student athletes, musicians and revived cheer squad!

FROM THE MAIN OFFICE

The PSS team will host four virtual drop-in sessions, each providing up-to-date information and practical resources for youth, parents, guardians, and caregivers. These sessions are aimed at equipping our community with the knowledge and tools necessary to support the well-being of our students both at home and in school. Please share with your school communities! The dates and themes are below and all sessions are virtual from 7pm-8pm:

  • Take Our Kids to Work Day: This November 6th, all grade nine Malvern students will be participating in 'take a student to work day'. We invite you to speak to your student about which career they would like to learn more about and who they may wish to shadow for the day. Our goal is to have all of our grade nine students out in the community for the day learning more about potential career paths. Information and forms were sent out on Oct 9th.
  • Please note that there is a scheduled window of time for parents/caregivers to complete forms on EMA for any excursion, therefore it is best to complete them when initially received so that the opportunity does not expire.
