School Council Information

A Message from your School Council

It is the beginning of another school year, and that means getting you involved to make sure you can support your student in partnership with the Malvern administration.

We are thrilled to kick off the recruitment for this year's parent council.  We meet 6 times per year, generally once a month with some breaks. At each meeting, we discuss the priorities of the school community and make plans to help support each and every student. We also try to have fun, and plan social events together, which have been very popular!

The Principal and a teacher representative attend every meeting, so this is a great way for you to be a full partner in your student's time at Malvern.

If you would like to join the voting members of parent council, we'd ask that you apply using this link:  https://forms.gle/jxYSit3MuJyeYdRG8

Your responsibilities as a voting member include attending 80% of the meetings, and voting on key items like the parent council budget (voted in November). You can also apply for executive positions.

At the first meeting in September, the outgoing council will officially hand over to the new one.

If you would like to be involved but don't want to be a voting member, you can still attend all the meetings, and we'd love to see you there! Our  first meeting is September 16th at 7 pm in the library

Lastly, if you would like to stay abreast of all council related news, tips, reminders and parent/guardian-related issues, look out for our emails and follow us on social media.
