The Norway School Council is You!

The Norway School Council is part of a partnership with the school community to make your child's experience at Norway at better experience! Education is a partnership that involves parents, guardians, caregivers, students, school staff, school boards, government, and the community.

Your involvement with the Council gives you the opportunity to strengthen this partnership, and to be part of a dedicated team working to ensure a high quality of education and an accountable education system for our students. We invite you to come out to our monthly School Council meetings to show your support, meet other parents, discuss issues at the school, share your ideas, and perhaps offer to volunteer your time and expertise!

This school year's executive council members are ...

  • Alison Dowler - Co-Chair
  • Hailey Eisen - Co-Chair
  • Norah Matthews - Parent Engagement
  • Ariel Rubin - Communications
  • Marcia Fada - Treasurer

How the Council Makes Your Child's Education at Norway a Better Experience

School Council aims to make positive change happen in our school, our community and our environment. In recent years, Council has addressed some issues important to all of us – literacy, anxiety, good sportsmanship, the arts, as well as local and global awareness. Council funds have contributed to iPads in the school, authors, artists and scientists in the classroom, guest speakers, Literacy programs for the library and classrooms, Grade 6 Graduation, outdoor murals, a pollinator garden, and more!

Getting Involved

There is always something happening at our school during the year, and none of it could happen without the help of volunteers. Any help you can give goes a long way! Details on future events will be shared through School Council mailouts, through Principal updates, and, on occasion, in your child's backpack. You can always contact the School Council directly at

Your participation makes a difference in the school life of all Norway students!
