Regular attendance and punctuality are recognized as essential components of a student’s educational progress. It is of the utmost importance that students attend all their timetabled classes. Administration, teachers, students, and parents should be involved in, and dedicated to the goal of perfect attendance and punctuality for every Parkdalian.

Expectations of Students

• Students must attend all timetabled classes.
• Students shall inform their teachers in advance of upcoming field trips they will be attending.
• Students are responsible for making up the work missed during their absence.
• There is a positive correlation between good attendance and success at school

All students and their parents/guardians shall be informed of the above consequences at the beginning of each year. Attendance rules will be applied uniformly for all students.

The report card will indicate absences and late arrival.
