The role of the Student Success Guidance Counselor is to work with school staff, students, parents and community to increased students' success in Secondary school. Student Success initiatives are designed to increase student credit accumulation and include school-wide programs, in particular, for underserved students. Initiatives include:

monitoring student progress

coordinating Round table discussions

coordinating in-school Credit Rescue and Recovery

coordinating Staff Caring Adult Support

promoting and organizing peer mentoring and Peer-tutoring supports

promotion and registration of Dual Credit/ SWAC and other student reengagement programs

Coordinate Gr 9 Head Start to High School

Promote and coordinate Gr 9 Take Our Kids to Work Day

organize in school referrals and meetings for IST/ SST
