Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) 

 

Developmental Services Ontario  Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) is the access point for adult developmental services funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) in Ontario. There are 9 DSO agencies located across the province; serving different counties and regions.

If you have a developmental disability, live in Ontario, and are 18 years old you must apply through DSO to see if you are eligible to receive adult ministry-funded supports available in your community.

If you have a disability and need help with your living expenses, you may be eligible for the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP).

ODSP offers: 1) financial assistance to help you and your family with essential living expenses; 2) benefits, for you and your family, including prescription drugs and vision care; 3) help finding and keeping a job, and advancing your career

Special Needs Planning Group

The "Special Needs" Planning Group is an organization that is made up entirely of parents of people with disabilities. The organization consists of experienced, knowledgeable professionals who understand issues relevant to people with disabilities.

The Special Needs Planning Group uses a team approach to planning using Planners, Lawyers and Accountants, all of whom are specialists in planning for people with disabilities.
