At St. Margaret’s P.S., we believe that education is a shared responsibility involving a partnership between students, parents, staff, and community. School Advisory Councils (SACs) play an invaluable role in the education of our students. The Council provides advice to the school administration, and when appropriate, to the school board on a variety of matters.

The SAC is composed of parents/guardians of the students who attend the school, a community member, a school principal and vice-principal, teacher(s) and business and support staff. Three executive members are elected annually by the parents/guardians to lead the Council. They include a Chair (Co-Chair), Treasurer and Secretary.

Meetings are generally held once a month at the school. New members are always welcome and childcare is available upon request.
