Welcome to an exciting year of learning at St. Margaret’s Public School! We are looking forward to another year of improving student achievement while focusing on the well-being of our students. Our goal is to ensure that each child achieves his/her potential within a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. We are committed to educating the whole child by providing a number of programs, services, and extra-curricular activities that meet our student needs.

At St. Margaret’s PS, we will continue to provide Special Education and English as a Second Language programs to support our students to maximize their learning. This year, there is also a school-wide focus on mental health and well-being. We aim to integrate more technology into our programs and are excited about our new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Lab that we have created in our school. Students will have opportunities to create, innovate, collaborate and problem solve in this new learning space.

An important element to achieving our goals this year is the partnership between home and school. We encourage regular and ongoing communication between parents/guardians and staff. The commitment of parents/guardians in supporting their child’s regular and punctual attendance each day is another essential component of school success. Parents/guardians are encouraged to join our School Advisory Council comprised of staff members, parents, and community members.

Together we can help our students become responsible citizens in an everchanging society. After all, as the African proverb states, “It takes a whole village to raise a child.”
