BARS (Before Absence Reporting System) 416-395-3107
If your child is ill or absent, please call the school before 8:30. Please provide a note to accompany your child when he/she returns to school.
If your child must be away for an extended period of time, please contact the school. We will ask teachers to provide work for your child while they are absent.
If there are changes to your contact information (e.g. change of home address, change of guardianship, change of contact phone numbers), please notify the school. It is vital that we have accurate contact information in case of emergency.
Parents want the best education for their children. Our goal is to provide your family with a positive learning environment, and with a variety of programs and services that promote outstanding student achievement.
Parents are children's first and life-long teachers. We value the partnership between home and school and know that parental involvement is the key to success in school.
We are proud of the strong links we have with our parents and our community.
It is important that parents be kept informed of what is happening at Windfields. This occurs through letters sent home with students, regular emails, Newsletters, and meetings . If you wish to be on our email list, please go to our home page and register your email address.
If you wish to discuss your son or daughter’s progress, please call the main office and a message will be left for the teacher to call you.
Another excellent way to communicate quickly with our teachers is by writing a note in your child's Planner.
You may also wish to speak to the principal or vice-principal about an issue. If appropriate, your concerns will then be discussed with students, teachers, Department Heads, or with other members of the Windfields community.
