Time of Year: All Year

Claireville Conservation Area is slowly becoming an island of biodiversity, surrounded by new homes, roads and commercial developments. Compare a wetland, a forest, and a field to identify and understand what makes each ecosystem unique. Discover first hand the natural plants and animals that call Claireville home. Investigate the roles and interactions of individual species within each wild area. In the afternoon, students will participate in a fast paced simulation predator/prey activity to examine the many interactions that occur within a forest ecosystem.
