Unearthing Art

Unearthing Art

Time of Year: All Year

Using the forest as an artist’s studio, investigate how the basic elements of art; line, shape, colour, sound and texture, are also found in the world around us. For half of the day, students will explore digital photography using iPods. For the other half, students will create artworks on site, using only natural materials, drawing on their own experiences and other Earthwork artists’ work for inspiration. As in the tradition of Andy Goldsworthy, the art stays on site, however, EFSC iPods are used to record the masterpieces and pictures are provided to you via Dropbox.
