Time of Year:  All Year

This program will help students to expand their understanding of simple machines by exploring the use of gears and pulleys in the environment. Students will be introduced to gears and pulleys in the classroom and then transfer their knowledge to a variety of experiments outside.  Working in teams, students will be given an opportunity to design and build  their own machines to complete simple tasks.
