Welcome/Bienvenue to Brian Public School!  

It is a pleasure and a privilege to serve as Principal at Brian Public School. I look forward to working in partnership with you, getting to know our students, and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

A very special welcome to all our new and returning students, as well as their families. We value the partnership between home and school as we work together to create inclusive, caring, and respectful learning environments where students feel safe, welcomed, valued, and able to succeed.

Your child benefits greatly from your active engagement — talking with them about their school day, attending school events, staying in touch with teachers, checking the planner to support learning routines, and keeping up to date with school communications through our website and direct emails. We are fortunate to have an active School Council made up of dedicated parent and caregiver volunteers who support the school community in many ways. Families are warmly invited to attend our monthly School Council meetings, and new members are always welcome. This is a meaningful way to positively influence your child’s experience at Brian P.S. and to stay informed about the work of the Toronto District School Board.

At Brian P.S., we are committed to educating the whole child and to ensuring high-quality learning for all. Daily reading and writing, mathematical thinking and application are core components of our instructional program. Subjects including Language and French, Mathematics, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education, Music, Drama, Dance, Visual Arts, Core French, and Science support the development of inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Embedded across all areas of learning are the Indigenous Learning Lens, Character Education, and a strong focus on student well-being and self-regulation, helping students develop resilience, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
