The Toronto District School Board offers Night School credit courses that are open to all high school students and adults working towards their high school diploma. Students may take a new credit course or retake a course previously completed to upgrade their mark.
Students and adults must meet the prerequisite requirements to enroll in a Night School course. Students and their parents/guardians are encouraged to consult with their day school Guidance Counsellor to review course selections.
The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) reserves the right to cancel classes. A list of cancelled courses will be posted on the “Course Offerings” page of the website seven days before the registration deadline. Students will be notified by email in advance, allowing them time to select an alternative course, if available.
Night School runs for 15 weeks with two semesters each school year, 2 days a week from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.:
- Semester 1: October to January
- Semester 2: February to June
Grade 9-12 High School Students (Ages 14-20)
Students may take up to two credit courses per semester; one on Monday/Wednesday and another on Tuesday/Thursday. Alternatively, students may choose to take one course in Semester 1 and another in Semester 2.
e-Credit Adults (18+):
Adults (18+) who are not currently enrolled in a day school are eligible to register for one asynchronous e-Credit course to earn credits toward their diploma.
