It is my pleasure to welcome you to C.W. Jefferys Collegiate Institute, a vibrant and inclusive community where students are encouraged to learn, lead, and thrive. Alongside our dedicated staff, I am committed to fostering an environment that celebrates achievement, supports well-being, and helps every student reach their full potential. We value the partnership of families and community members in supporting student success.

At CW Jefferys, we offer diverse pathways to prepare students for university, college, apprenticeships, and future careers. Our specialized ESTe2M program integrates Math, Science, and Technology with a focus on equity and social justice. Through the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, students connect with legal professionals through mentorship and experiential learning. Our Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Business, cooperative education, and apprenticeship opportunities further develop career-ready skills. We are proud that 85% of our graduates pursue post-secondary education or apprenticeship programs.

We believe joy, belonging, and engagement are essential to student success. With more than 25 extracurricular clubs and a variety of seasonal sports, students can explore interests, build friendships, and develop confidence. Our Leadership Program supports more than 100 student leaders annually, strengthening their leadership, mentorship, and collaboration skills. Our dedicated staff also foster meaningful relationships to ensure students feel valued and supported.

I encourage students and families to visit our website regularly for school information, program updates, and upcoming events. Follow our Weekly CWJ Broadcast to stay informed about school activities and achievements. Parents and guardians are also welcome to participate in our School Council, where their voices help strengthen our school community.

Together, we will continue building a community grounded in excellence, equity, inclusion, leadership, and belonging. Thank you for your interest in C.W. Jefferys Collegiate Institute. I look forward to working with our students, families, staff, and community partners to help every student learn, grow, and succeed.

Thank you and welcome to C.W. Jefferys CI — Home of the Yellowjackets!
