Leadership Program

At C.W. Jefferys, we foster a community environment, where there is a sense of belongingness.  Student involvement and participation begins with our grade 9 students who attend camp for three days in September.  At camp, students are mentored by senior students and participate in activities that build leadership, teamwork and cooperation skills.

In senior grades, students then have the opportunity to join the Leader-in-Training program, where they acquire the skills to become mentors and effective leaders and at the same time they earn a credit.

We have expanded this program to include weekend and summer school opportunities to students so that they may engage in character development through a continuum of Outdoor Adventure Based Learning Opportunities. Again students have the opportunity to earn additional credits.

Our Leadership program has transformed students into confident, capable leaders, not just within the school, but also within the broader community as well.
