Our class page will provide you with information on what our students who receive Resource Support are working on is working on. As well, information relating to assignments, reminders of important dates, and useful websites, will be presented here.

SCHOOL PLANNER

Your child has received a school planner.  Each night your child will bring home their planner with homework and assignments to be completed. As part of the school policy, parents/guardians are expected to sign the planner at least weekly (on Fridays), if not daily.  This planner is a great way for teachers to communicate about your child and allows you to be aware of nightly assignments and upcoming tests.  Please refer to the planner for the following school policies as well as other important information: School Uniform, Lunch Routines, Late Policy and Absent Procedures, Code of Conduct and Homework Procedures.

ORGANIZATION 

It is important for your child to be organized and arrive on time in both the morning and after lunch. Only those students, with signed parental permission, may go home for lunch during the second nutrition break. It is strongly encouraged for your child to bring a snack to school on a daily basis or take part in the school-wide snack program.

Your child should carry a book for reading pleasure, a pencil case containing pencils, pens, eraser, pencil crayons, markers, small ruler, and a simple calculator (preferably with a square- root symbol). As well, a binder would be beneficial to organize all school notebooks.  Your child should also have three-hole lined paper readily available. When sending money with your child to pay for school items, please ensure it is done so with exact change. 

GETTING PREPARED FOR EQAO

The junior-division assessment tests the reading, writing and mathematics skills students are expected to have learned by the end of Grade 6. This assessment is based on The Ontario Curriculum. There are practice booklets available online for your child to complete. Please make use of this resource. For more information, please visit www.eqao.com
