Welcome to our Elmbank JMA Eco-Schools Page.
Started last year, our Eco-Schools Team engaged our entire school in a waste initiative where we looked at all types of waste and determined if it needed to be placed into a Green Bin for organic waste, Blue Bin for recyclable items, and Grey Bin for Garbage.
For our work in 2018/19, we received a Bronze Medal. We hope to continue on our Eco Journey this year.
Also this year, we have started to understand the negative effects of Climate Change.
The Impact of Climate Change Big Idea to share with young ones is to build your child’s sense of wonder and love for the earth to take action on Climate Change. “If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the Earth before we ask them to save it.” See possible websites below:
