Our Health & Physical Education program empowers students to build resilience, confidence, and strong interpersonal skills while fostering a lifelong love of health and fitness. Through engaging activities, students develop movement competence and learn strategies for success in sports and games. They gain essential knowledge about healthy living and personal responsibility, connecting wellness to their own lives and the world around them. By integrating physical literacy and health education, we prepare students to lead active, balanced, and healthy lives.
Health & Physical Education
Our Health and Physical Education program, offered in Grades 9–12, provides students with opportunities to develop personal fitness, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits. Courses include a variety of activities that build individual skills and encourage collaboration. Students rotate through our outstanding facilities, including gymnasiums, a weight and fitness room, swimming pool, outdoor sports areas, and a dedicated health room.
Daily participation is an important part of assessment, and students are expected to engage fully in each class. Beyond physical activity, the curriculum promotes values such as striving for personal best, equity and fair play, respect for diversity, and overall well-being. These principles help students build character and prepare for active, healthy lives.
Learning in Health and Physical Education is hands-on and experiential. Students learn by doing—whether through kinesthetic activities, working with equipment, collaborating in groups, or exploring topics with personal relevance. Through creative work, teamwork, and practical experiences, students gain skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
