Selwyn School
A community hub where all students, staff and families belong, learn and thrive.
Our School Goals:
- To honour and apply Indigenous ways of knowing in our learning across the curriculum in authentic ways that focus on appreciation, and creating safe spaces for indigenous students to flourish.
- To teach fundamental reading skills across the curriculum especially in math in a relevant and meaningful context to increase student engagement and achievement. Emphasize transferable literacy skills, including identifying key vocabulary, to enhance comprehension and application of mathematical concepts.
- Foster a school community that is responsive to the voices of our students, families and staff by offering a variety of programs, initiatives and engagement opportunities that create safety, bring joy and a sense of belonging.
