ENVIRONMENT SHSM

George S. Henry Academy is the ideal school for an Environment SHSM.  The school is situated in a sprawling oasis of greenery.   Our highly active environmental club, called the Green Team, has achieved the Platinum Designation (highest level) four times to date.  Our school has started a composting program, we developed a medicine-wheel shaped community garden, we have planted over 5000 trees, and we work with a number of community agencies that help promote environmental issues.  In 2016, George S. Henry Academy was one of 10 schools across Canada to win a $25 000 award, from Staples, in recognition of our Eco-initiatives.

Our Environment SHSM will take our environmental stewardship to the next level.  This SHSM program will provide our students with sector-specific knowledge and certifications that will directly link them to post-secondary and career pathways.  Please click on the image below to learn more about this exciting program:
