Soccer:
Northern's senior boys soccer team concluded their season this week. After a 3-2-1 regular season, the senior boys team played their best game of the season in a decisive 2-0 quarter final win over NTCI. That win vaulted them into a semi final against OCI. In the semis, the senior boys rallied back from a 1-0 half time deficit to win 2-1 with a last minute strike to advance to the finals. EYCI proved to be too much on the day to take the championship.
Coach Lombardi is proud of his entire squad for their resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship this season. We look forward to building off a successful season.
Go Red Knights!

Buddies Toy Drive:
We are so excited to announce that the Buddies are running our annual holiday toy drive! This year, we are partnering with the Leaside Toy Drive, a volunteer based initiative that collects toys and funds to support children in elementary schools in the Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park communities. This is a fantastic cause and we’d love your help to make it a success!
How you can help:
- Grade 9 students: Each homeform class should have a special drop-off bag or bin for collecting toy donations. The homeform class that brings in the most toys by December 6th will win a pizza party!
- Grade 10-12 students: A drop-off box will be available in the first floor foyer before school and at lunch, from November 11th, to November 15th. During and after that, donations can be left in the drop-off box in the guidance office until December 6th.
If you have any questions, or want to learn more about the cause, feel free to email buddies.nss01@gmail.com
Thank you for helping us bring joy to kids this holiday season!
