Braeburn Winter Celebration

Dear Richview Parents and Guardians,

For well over 25 years Richview has hosted the children of the Braeburn Community program for an annual holiday party. This party traditionally invites boys and girls, ages 5-12, to our school for a day of crafting, games, fun, and surprises! Unfortunately, due to the high rates of flu and respiratory illness circulating at this time, we feel it is more responsible not to have an in-person party this year. Nevertheless, we don’t want to let these sweet children down and we need your help!

We want to spoil the kids with lots of goodies and presents to brighten their holidays because we all know that the last few years haven’t been as fun as they should have been, and times are especially tough this year for many families for a variety of reasons. Our ability to do this, however, depends on the very generous donations of the Richview community.

Here is what the Richview elves need:

  • 60 Gifts (approximately $20 in value, new and unwrapped) for ages 5-12
  • Gift wrap (paper, bows, gift tags, and tape)
  • Packaged treats (think granola bars, Rice Krispies treats, mini candies, mini potato chips, juice boxes)
  • Pre-packaged holiday crafts that the kids can make in their program (ornaments to decorate, etc.)

There are boxes in front of the main office where donations can be dropped off. If you would like to make a cash donation, please send it with your daughter or son and ask them to give it to Mrs. Zdebiak (in the library or room 114). We would like to deliver all of the gifts and goodies to the kids no later than December 16th, so if you can donate before then that will give the elves time to sort and wrap the gifts.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Zdebiak for more information about how you can help.

We thank you all in advance for your kindness, and we hope that you know that your generosity means so

All the best to you as the holiday season nears.
