If students connect with the natural systems that support biodiversity at Forest Valley, then they will begin to understand the interrelationship and interdependence of all living things and how human choices can have an impact on ecosystems.

Possible Sequence of the Day
The framing question focuses on the learning of the day. The day starts with an engagement activity to assess understanding, engage the students, and introduce the framing question. The morning is spent doing investigations, exploring, and conducting hands-on inquiry regarding the biodiversity that exists at Forest Valley and the impact humans have on biodiversity. The afternoon application activity is focused on consolidating and then conducting a hands-on student learning experience connected to improving biodiversity at Forest Valley.
