Principal's Message

At Parkdale Collegiate Institute, belonging comes first. Parkdale is a place where everyone belongs. You can find your belonging in clubs and teams, in class, and on committees--places to lead, create, compete, and contribute. Our students are genuinely kind, our staff care deeply, and our families, alumni, and School Council show up for one another.

Community is our strength. Parkdale’s diversity is real and visible, and every voice helps make our school a great place for all--the true definition of community. We are grounded in our neighbourhood and open to all who join our local school community: newcomers, community partners, and friends who choose to learn, work, and volunteer with us.

Being a Parkdalian means more than wearing our colours. Parkdalians have heart! We look out for each other, and we care about the big issues in our community and in the world. We ask good questions, we listen, and we act--with empathy, courage, and respect.

Every day, you will find connection here: In classrooms that challenge and support, in arts that spark creativity, on fields and courts that build resilience, and in student councils and clubs that make a difference. This is a school where you are known, where expectations are high, and where support is real.

If you are new to Parkdale--welcome. If you are returning--welcome back. Let us keep showing up so every student can learn, belong, achieve and thrive.
