Students will explore the concept of ecosystems and identify interactions between abiotic and biotic components. The class will consider the impacts that human activities and technologies can have on their environment. Activities may include a detailed exploration of a specific ecosystem (eg. stream, meadow, forest), and/or simulation activities such as Predator v. Prey.
While exploring the Rouge wetlands, we uncovered a small snapping turtle, which was most happy to return to its muddy bed in preparation for winter.
