Art in the Park Grade1

Art in the Park Grade 1

Locations: On-site, at your school/local green space

Using nature as our inspiration, students will explore and learn about the various elements of art, such as line, shape, texture and colour while observing, exploring and investigating the natural environment. The students will have opportunities to apply their knowledge and understanding of the elements of art by integrating natural materials into their creative works. Depending on the season, the students will be able to take home their creative works or pictures of the works will be taken and downloaded on disc for viewing back in your classroom. The Grade 1 art program at Hillside emphasizes joyful exploration and discovery.
