At Jarvis Collegiate Institute we believe that arts education is an essential part of school for all students. 

In The Arts Department students learn to be creative, identify and solve problems, empathize with others, think critically, communicate effectively and appreciate the skills and accomplishments of others. 

Our Drama, Music, Visual Arts, and Media Arts courses equip students with tools for understanding, expressing, representing, creating and communicating with others. 

Through The Arts students can access incredible learning experiences like school performances, field trips, guest artist workshops, and extracurriculars that engage their hearts, minds and bodies in the creative process.
