Entrance Requirements - MST Grade 9 Entry:

  • students will be selected based on the combined average of grade 7 data with benchmark data met (30%) plus the assessment mark (70%)

Entrance Requirements - MST Grade 10 Entry:

  • students will be selected based on the combined average of grade 8 data with benchmark data met (30%) plus the assessment mark (70%)

Timelines:

  • 2027/2028 applications open November 9th and close November 27th

  • The assessment date for MST programs is Monday, December 7th

MSTu

“JCI’s STEM focused program to develop global leaders”

Welcome to the MSTU program at Jarvis! This program launched in 2024 for incoming Grade 9 students who want a focus in Math, Science, and Technology (digital arts and computer science) for YOU and your unique long term goals.

Students in the MSTU program will take eight courses as a cohort, and will have access to learning opportunities outside of the classroom. From the start, MSTU students will develop teamwork and bonding experiences through our Grade 9 “Camp Jarvis'' in September. Given our fantastic geographic location in the city, many field trips throughout the downtown core including teaching hospitals and research centres, leading universities and colleges as well as global corporations will be offered.  Additionally, MSTU students at Jarvis will have access to exclusive networking opportunities and exciting math and science contests.

The students in the MSTU program will be able to access other incredible opportunities such as:

  • Access to Math, Science and Computer Science contests
  • Networking opportunities with professionals and corporations
  • In school leadership development with Peer Leaders and Student Council,
  • Pathways to Advanced Placement (AP) courses and Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Business program
  • Enrichment opportunities to teach skills necessary to succeed in their chosen post secondary pathway
  • Recognizing student voice and choice 
  • Extracurricular clubs and teams
