Kindergarten Play Spaces

Kindergarten Play Spaces

We had our grand opening on May 30, 2019. Our designated play spaces allow our kindergarten students to engage in play-based learning and inquiry in a naturalized environment throughout the course of the day.

The redevelopment of the enclosed areas along our Fairlawn and Brookdale frontage adds great value to our school grounds for all community members.  Check out our drawings below which inspired us!

Peanuts, Popcorn and Play Spaces

Thank you to all our community members who came out to support our Movie Night.  We managed to surpass our fundraising goal for this event.

Although we have met our initial goal, any additional funding helps to buy learning materials to enhance our play spaces.   You can continue to donate any amount directly to our Play Spaces online in just a few simple steps! Visit

Online donations of greater than $25 receive a tax receipt from the TDSB.  Be sure to select John Wanless as the Fund Destination and indicate our Play Space in the Message Field.  Click here for step-by-step instructions.
